Yael Lebel studied in Nishmat’s Shiur Aleph in 2017 ( תשע”ז) and is currently in her third year of a degree program in Physics at Ben-Gurion University (BGU) in Beer Sheva. At BGU, Yael coordinates the Cooperative Beit Midrash Program (a part of the Bnei Akiva movement) the heart of all Torah study, lectures, and chavruta study that take place on the university’s campus. Yael schedules the many speakers that come to the Beit Midrash, and recently secured Rabbanit Malka Puterkovsky author of “Walking on Her Path: Life Challenges from a Halakhic and Moral Perspective.” Yael also works with many departments inside the University. Just last week, a student from the Biblical Studies Department spoke about the settlement of Israel during the days of Yehoshua based on physical research. Inspired by the Torah learning and skills she gained at Nishmat, Yael is helping to spread Torah study to students at Ben-Gurion University.
