The Deputy Mayor met with a group of 20 alumnae who'd returned to study at Nishmat. Overcome by emotion upon seeing Nishmat's expanded bet midrash overflowing with women learning Torah, she said, "Usually a well-appointed bet midrash like this is filled with men. To hear the voices of women (learning Torah)… My dear ladies, how fortunate you are! Aim high. You're already on the right path."
