Nishmat was selected from among 25 Israeli women's institutes to host Education Minister Gideon Saar. The Minister, an advocate of increased funding to Zionist institutions, both secular and religious, visited Nishmat for a first hand look at how Nishmat instills values of Torah and love of Eretz Yisrael in its students.
Following a meeting with Nishmat's Ethiopian students, whose achievements especially interested him, Minister Saar addressed a packed Nishmat Beit Midrash, which included residents of Pat, Nishmat’s Jerusalem neighborhood, who came to share their views with one of Israel's influential leaders.
