Rabbi Aaron Goldscheider received his rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University in 1993 where he also studied Jewish philosophy. Since then he has devoted his life to teaching Torah and to outreach to the less affiliated. For the past twenty years he has served as a synagogue rabbi in Florida and in New York. Most recently, he was the Rabbi of the historic Mount Kisco Hebrew Congregation in Westchester NY.
Karen Goldscheider received her Masters in Bible from Yeshiva University. She has taught Tanach and Machshevet Yisrael at SAR High School in the US for the last nine years, also working in the Israel Guidance, Religious Guidance departments and as a Grade Level Coordinator. She spent a number of years in post Masters Study at Matan in Yerushalayim. Together with Rabbi Aaron, she has taught weekly classes in the congregations they have worked for where she focused on teaching less affiliated teenagers and adults. The Goldscheiders moved with their family to Jerusalem in the Summer of 2012.
We wish the Goldscheiders every success in their new position.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Rabbanit Gilla Rosen for her hard work as Rosh Tochnit in the last two years. We are excited that Gilla will continue on at Nishmat as an active member of our faculty.
