Nishmat to Host General Assembly Participants

Nishmat Selected by Jewish Federations of North America to Host General Assembly Participants:

Nishmat was chosen by The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) as one of Jerusalem’s 10 most preeminent institutions of Jewish Learning. On Tuesday, November 12, 2013, Nishmat will be privileged to host a group of 150 JFNA General Assembly (GA) participants for a morning of studies on the topic of Jewish Diversity.  Nishmat was one of the only orthodox institutions selected among the 10 centers of learning, which represent a diverse spectrum of Jewish practice and observance, as well as different pedagogical approaches. All GA participants will study a common subject, and the group who visit Nishmat will study the topic of Jewish Diversity through the distinct lens of the institution.

The annual General Assembly (GA) of the Jewish Federations of North America will take place this year in Jerusalem onNovember 10th, 11th & 12th. The GA is an opportunity for Israeli nonprofit professionals and activists to connect with the top leadership of the North American Jewish community and to help shape the communal conversation. From provocative talks to innovative session formats, this year’s GA is designed to encourage an active exchange of ideas about the pressing issues affecting Israel and its relationship with world Jewry. For a complete list of speakers click here and for the GA program click here.
