Dr. Tammy Bryk

The Nishmat summer program was one of the most extraordinary programs that I have participated in. The learning was extremely meaningful and powerful on so many levels. As humans learn new skills, they simultaneously discover more about themselves and when they dive deep within themselves they find gifts that can enrich not only their own lives but the lives of others around them. The summer program provided me with this opportunity. The program offers different levels of learning from beginning to advanced and everything in between. Navit, the director of the program, speaks with each woman to determine what best suits them for the learning. The summer program also offers choices with regard to how long you stay and learn for. What I found so incredible was that there were woman participating who have been coming for many, many summers and stay in the dorms and continue to have incredibly meaningful experiences every year. I met like-minded women from all over the United States, Israel and Europe. I also had the pleasure of learning with Rabbanit Henkin every morning setting my learning up for the day with positive intentions and focused intensity. This year the summer program will include learning and volunteer opportunities which will absolutely make for an unforgettable experience. The program set my neshama ablaze and invigorated me to continue my learning journey. I channel the energy I felt at Nishmat every time I sit to learn, digest and live a Torah learning and loving life. I am grateful for my summer spent there and look forward to engaging in the program again.
